Meet Mrs. Fitch

Hello Gold Rush Students and Parents!

My name is Ann Fitch and this is my 12th year in Douglas County as a School Counselor. I am excited to be part of this wonderful community!  I received my Bachelor's degree from University of Colorado in Communications and my Master's degree in Counseling and Human Services also at the University of Colorado. I love working with Elementary School students and seeing the energy that they bring everyday.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tanner, and our 2 little cuties Hudson, who is 8 and Hanes, who is 4. I love decorating around the house, farmer's markets, hanging out with our friends and family and thinking up new ways to entertain my busy kids!  Coffee keeps me going!

I am looking forward to a great year and getting to know our awesome Gold Rush students!

E-mail is the best way to get a hold of me. Please feel free to e-mail me at aefitch@dcsdk12.org

I am at Gold Rush Monday-Friday.
My direct line is 303-387-7727

Gold Rush Elementary Counseling

Hello parents and students! I am so excited to kick off our 2020-2021 school year! As we embark upon this new adventure in education my role continues to be supporting our students social and emotional health - both in person and virtually. Last year we dug into the MindUp curriculum, which I will be using again this year. Based firmly in neuroscience, MindUp teaches the skills and knowledge children need to regulate their stress and emotion, form positive relationships, and act with kindness and compassion. I can't wait to see everyone this year! 💛 Mrs. Fitch
